Hey there!
Thanks for dropping in for another week here at LDS Girl Everything. This week I want to talk about one of my
favorite miracles in the New Testament.
Take a look at these verses:
Mark 4:37-39
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat
into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a
pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we
perish?
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the
sea, Peace,
be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
These verses are meaningful to me because I find great
comfort in the phrase, “Peace, be still.”
In the world, there is confusion and chaos. But in Christ, there is peace. Something interesting to note though is the
response of the disciples. In class we
discussed how they allowed something external to cause a raging storm of doubt
inside. Do we sometimes do the same?
With three simple words, Christ calmed the sea and His
disciples. He can bring peace into our
lives too. Though the storms are raging,
as long as you are in the boat with Christ, even the good ship Zion, you are
not going to sink. It doesn’t mean you are
not going to get wet, disoriented, or a little seasick sometimes, but you will
be okay. Christ is at the helm.
On that note, have a happy week! 😊
Brianna
